UP 1478 negotiates the less than stellar trackage through downtown Jefferson. A short time after this photo was taken, we witnessed a motorist slam into the side of this train.

UP 1478 has just crossed the dilapidated diamond at Jefferson Jct, as they continue their trek towards Jefferson.

In a classic branch line scene, Union Pacific local from Clyman Jct brings a cut of boxcars for the Nestle plant on the south side of Jefferson on a warm hazy summer morning.
